Normally, we raccoons stick to one topic—boats with mysterious leaks, tractors that haven’t moved since the ’80s, or semis that are technically part possum. But Flying Sparks Garage? No way. It’s a category-defying whirlwind of engines, welding sparks, turbo whistles, and—unfortunately for Buddy—emotional trauma.
Meet Aaron & Emily – The Power Couple of Pistons and Passion
Aaron and Emily’s story started when they were just kids—14 and 17—and yes, they were already cooler than us. Aaron grew up turning wrenches in his family’s heavy diesel repair business, and Emily? She jumped into the grease and gears because she fell in love with him.
He started teaching her everything, and soon, she wasn’t just along for the ride—she was leading it. Emily even convinced Aaron that her dream honeymoon was the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2007. That’s a week-long hot rod road trip. Most folks choose sand and sunsets… they chose burnouts and backroads. 🏁💘
The Garage Becomes a Show
In March 2015, they turned their love of wrenching into something the rest of us could witness: Flying Sparks Garage on YouTube.
Season 1? Emily builds a 408 stroker engine for her GTO, Roxy.
Following seasons? Aaron jumps in full-throttle, and their now-famous dynamic of fun, learning, love, and “oops I dropped the transmission” begins.
It’s the kind of shop that makes raccoons want to trade their dumpster tools for torque wrenches.
Buddy’s Emotional Breakdown
We sent Buddy to review the show. He was supposed to take notes on their 359 Peterbilt build. Instead, he fell in love with Emily.
“She was cleaning the interior while laughing at Aaron’s dad jokes,” Buddy sniffled.
“She said I was adorable. I almost asked her to go scavenging with me… but then I remembered—she’s married. And I’m just a raccoon.”
We had to remind him—again—that she and Aaron are literal soulmates and he’s just a trash panda with a crush.
